The Carlyle Residences is a cornerstone in the line of luxury condo projects in a two mile stretch East of Westwood near UCLA on Wilshire Boulevard. The first new construction project and the last permitted high-rise on the Boulevard was completed in 2009. The project, by renowned international developers Elad Properties, owners of the Plaza Hotel, has unprecedented collaborations with the best in architecture, design, construction and provides a private wine cellar and dining room along with staff units and private elevators taking each resident to their unit. The crescent-shaped building is setting the bar to new heights for the Boulevard with the best value and quality for high profile, international clientele, business magnates and members of Royal families.
All of these amenities and extravagant standards required Pan-Pacific’s expertise in luxury resorts and condo projects. Our design had to account for 78 differing units in a building rising 26 floors. Our design encompassed the challenge of multiple pressure zones and sound attenuation all while maintaining the feeling of luxury. Our “top-down” distribution design with oversized piping provided the solution giving ample, quiet water flow to luxurious fixtures.

The Century features 140 units ranging from two- to four-bedroom residences, and a number of full- and half-floor penthouses and townhouses. An excellent example of both our ability to design and value engineer, the Century is an impressive 42-story building completed in 2009.
Our commitment to the team concept and our knowledge of high-end residential projects helped the Owner resolve design issues and hold the line on the budget. 3D detailing and coordination enabled our fabrication department to push the field crew by having piping pre-assembled in installable units delivered to the project, making installation in the field a simple and quick process.

The St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort is a 5-star hotel with panoramic ocean views in Dana Point. This amazing resort was a demanding and tight-schedule project that put all of Pan-Pacific’s skills to the test. A Design-Build project utilizing tunnel form construction, it included a world class spa, over 400 rooms, banquet facilities, lobby, kitchens, restaurants and multiple room service kitchens.
This was Pan-Pacific’s first job with general contractor Hensel Phelps. Since then, and because of our exceptional service on the project, we are proud to have teamed with them for many more.
Because of our strong knowledge of the project and our commitment to customer service, we have maintained a strong working relationship with the St. Regis and have been a proud partner with them for many plumbing upgrades and additions.

Terranea Resort and Spa located in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA is a breathtaking 102-acre coastal resort boasting of 582 rooms with 32 suites, 20 oceanfront bungalows, 50 ocean-view casitas and 32 villas. Along with housing options, the campus is also home to a 9-hole, family-oriented golf course, a main ballroom, pools, restaurants, a spa and fitness center, and a dramatic Point Bar.
This beautiful resort is a Design-Assist project utilizing Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and multiple contracts. One design innovation on the resort included using a Sovent system to greatly reduce the amount of pipe to install. We used our expertise to bring additional innovations and value engineering ideas to help the owner control costs and maintain his budget.

The Replacement Hospital consists of a full basement and a full footprint for Levels 1 and 2. Levels 3-7 consist of four interconnected towers. The 221 beds for Inpatient Services includes Intensive Care, Burn Unit, Medical/Surgical Units, Pediatric and Infant Services. Diagnostic and Treatment services includes 15 Operating Rooms, Image-Guided Rooms, Cardiac-Invasive and Interventional Procedures, a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and Procedure Pre-Recovery Unit. General Support Services includes Central Sterile Processing and Materials Management. Renovations of building 1A include a Link Connection with the new hospital, installation of trauma and service elevators and a bridge connection to the second floor.
While other OSHPD projects throughout the state were encountering crippling and expensive delays from inspections, the innovative and collaborative nature of this Design-Build project breezed along. Allowing the IOR to be involved in the design made for quick resolution to issues, eliminated delays in the field and helped to maintain a demanding schedule and budget.
