Pan-Pacific Plumbing & Mechanical has excelled in luxury condominium and mixed-use projects sprouting up all over Southern California. We have been involved in various showcase projects including complex Design-Build applications where our in-house fabrication department remains steps ahead of the schedule at every turn.

Pan-Pacific Plumbing & Mechanical projects

Skyline Towers, Santa Ana, CA

Contractor: Nexus Construction Service, Inc.

Year of Completion: 2009

Adding to the skyline in Orange County, Skyline Towers are twin 25-story condos tower side by side over a common podium and parking structure.

Pan-Pacific worked with innovative, alternate material for this project drastically reducing the cost of installation for the Owner while enhancing physical benefits such as heat retention of hot water and noise reduction of plumbing systems.

We have been a part of multiple large condo projects throughout Southern California and our years of experience help Owners and Contractors through every step of the construction process.

The Century, Century City, CA

Contractor: Webcor Builders

Year of Completion: 2009

Delivery Method: Design-Build

The Century features 140 units ranging from two- to four-bedroom residences, and a number of full- and half-floor penthouses and townhouses.  An excellent example of both our ability to design and value engineer, the Century is an impressive 42-story building completed in 2009.

Our commitment to the team concept and our knowledge of high-end residential projects helped the Owner resolve design issues and hold the line on the budget.  3D detailing and coordination enabled our fabrication department to push the field crew by having piping pre-assembled in installable units delivered to the project, making installation in the field a simple and quick process.

The Carlyle on Wilshire, Los Angeles, CA

Contractor:  Swinerton Builders

Year of Completion:  2009

Delivery Method: Design-Build

The Carlyle Residences is a cornerstone in the line of luxury condo projects in a two mile stretch East of Westwood near UCLA on Wilshire Boulevard. The first new construction project and the last permitted high-rise on the Boulevard was completed in 2009. The project, by renowned international developers Elad Properties, owners of the Plaza Hotel, has unprecedented collaborations with the best in architecture, design, construction and provides a private wine cellar and dining room along with staff units and private elevators taking each resident to their unit. The crescent-shaped building is setting the bar to new heights for the Boulevard with the best value and quality for high profile, international clientele, business magnates and members of Royal families.

All of these amenities and extravagant standards required Pan-Pacific’s expertise in luxury resorts and condo projects.  Our design had to account for 78 differing units in a building rising 26 floors.  Our design encompassed the challenge of multiple pressure zones and sound attenuation all while maintaining the feeling of luxury.  Our “top-down” distribution design with oversized piping provided the solution giving ample, quiet water flow to luxurious fixtures.

1600 North Vine Luxury Apartments, Hollywood, CA

Contractor:  Webcor Builders

Year of Completion:  2009

Delivery Method:  Design-Build

The Hollywood and Vine project encompasses multiple tenant housing including the W Hotel and Residences and the 1600 North Vine Luxury Apartments.  Pan-Pacific was involved in all the phases of this multiple-contract, multiple-owner project.  The 1600 North Vine Luxury Apartments, owned by Legacy Partners, includes three 14-story towers and an 8-story tower which share a common court yard, retail area and common underground parking.

This Design-Build project had to account for multiple towers of differing heights which requires multiple pressure zones and difficult balancing of systems.  This project was also challenging based on the small area with multiple projects running at the same time.  We had over 100 men on the projects during our peak and this added to the congestion of the overall site.  However, we met the goals of this fast-paced, demanding schedule while maintaining our focus on safety.

Marina Pointe Luxury Condominiums, Marina del Rey, CA

Pan-Pacific was involved with the construction of two of Marina Pointe’s Luxury Condominiums.  We helped build The Azzurra with Swinerton completed in 2003 and later we built The Cove with Webcor which completed in 2005.

These Design-Build projects were for 19-story and 15-story high-rise residential towers.   The crowded worksites in Marina del Rey, near the harbor, had accessibility, parking and material delivery and lay down issues which we overcame through our forward thinking and precise planning.

These residential projects are excellent examples of Pan-Pacific’s ability to work well as part of a team, bring value-engineering concepts to Owners to control costs and provide excellent service through the course of construction in a multitude of demanding and difficult situations.

Marina Pointe’s Luxury Condominiums towers changed the skyline in Marina del Rey and we were proud participants of this exciting endeavor.
